Welcome to VAM - the Visual Arts and Media Academy at W.H. Croxford High School.  In VAM 10, students spend half of each day all year immersed in an arts-based learning environment focused around visual arts, design, photography, animation, graphics, publishing, and video production. Students in VAM 10 also receive credits in English 10 while learning in the Academy program.  English is integrated throughout their learning.  VAM 20 students receive credits in Art 20, CTS/MDC 20 (design, photography, graphics, and photojournalism), CALM 20 and English 20.  VAM 30 students work independently in a Special Project as well as Art 30.

Academy students think and behave as artists, as they navigate their way through real-world project-based learning opportunities. In an ever-changing world where future success will depend on adaptability and innovation, an education centered around the arts will help develop a solid foundation of the 21st Century attributes so critical for the citizens of tomorrow.

"The arts, it has been said, cannot change the world, but they may change human beings who might change the world."
Maxine Greene
